Video Transcript: 
The SCP-9000 Entry THE ARCHAIC is about a deity that works by making people feel empathy. This has become a problem for the Foundation since Israel began its latest attack on Gaza. This article hits very hard.

I’m probably going to say even less here than I’ve said for others, because I think this article is very underrated and I want you to read it. I wanted to go very, very simple on this one. Very few colors. Just black and white. A sheet of paper with something blacked out and a paper crane.

Paper birds are one of the pieces of symbolism in the article and I thought it would be a good way to represent it while also keeping the kind of “emptiness” I wanted to maintain. Emptiness that will never last. You can always lift the paper up to the light to see what used to be there.

I did have quite a bit of difficulty with remembering how to draw a paper crane, so I had to look up several references to try and get an idea of it. When I was little I used to make paper cranes all the time, but I could not do one if I tried at this point in my life. I mean, unless I looked up a tutorial or something.
