**1.** In the age before ages, before the wailing of stars and the carving of time, there was only the Expanse. The Lands of Creation.

**2.** And in these Lands many gods and creatures moved and did what they pleased.

**3.** Among all of them dwelled the One Without Purpose, whose name was and is Khárak, the Shapeless.

**4.** Khárak was, in truth, pathetic. A measly worm that emerged as rot from the unending tide of flesh of the [[[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/sarkicism-hub|Leviathan]]], as did many others of his kind.

**5.** Unlike his brothers and sisters however, Khárak dreamed not dreams, but voids. And those voids gave birth to screams.

**6.** And around Khárak stirred his kin and elders; the Builder, [[[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/church-of-the-broken-god-hub|WAN]]]; [[[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-3125|Ues]]], the Weaver of Minds; San'ah, the Harvester.

**7.** They and others whose names are best forgotten danced in knowing circles, crafting heavens and laws, light and loop, praise and punishment.

**8.** And Khárak watched this, and he loathed, and he whispered: “All is ash awaiting breath."

**9.** For he saw the glory of his siblings and named it Delusion. He saw their creations and called them Chains.

**1.** And Khárak stretched his thought into the womb of the Expanse, where his youngest siblings toiled with their own creations.

**2.** He spoke not with tongue, but with entropy. And his siblings did shudder.

**3.** “What seek you, Brother?” cried one of them. “What shape shall you carve?”

**4.** And Khárak answered; “No shape, for doing so is but futility."

**5.** And his siblings shrieked, as the Shapeless one consumed them in both body and meaning.

**6.** The flames that fueled them inverted and fed Khárak, whose form grew heavier, whose voice deepened to abyss.

**7.** And from the bones of his siblings, Khárak birthed his first Truth: Khazuur, the Law of Blood; "For one to gain, another must suffer."

**8.** And Khárak walked the lands of creation, consuming and whispering to his kin; “You make in vain."

**1.** And as Khárak continued his unstoppable conquest, San'ah rose in wrath, adorned in sharpness and truth.

**2.** “Blasphemer,” she spoke. “You are the rot of order. You unmake what you never knew.”

**3.** But Khárak replied to her with malice and spite; “To make is the arrogance of being. Let me humble you.”

**4.** And thus, they partook in battle. One so glorious and painful as to eclipse even the bloodiest skirmishes undertaken by men.

**5.** But in the end, not even the mighty and beloved San'ah could contend against Khárak's sheer ingenuity and brutality. And so, she was unraveled by him thread by thread, and he thoroughly reveled in the act.

**6.** And so he fed again, swelling with shape and unshape, birthing another Truth: Voën, the Law of Impermanence; “What stands, must fall. What falls, was mockery to begin with.”

**7.** And with San'ah having been broken, Khárak moved his attention towards the rest of the so called gods.

**1.** One by one, the lesser gods knelt, broke, or were hollowed.

**2.** And the Lands of Creation were shaken. Kosmos were choked upon the tongues that formed them. Endless possibilities were extinguished before they could be allowed to come to fruition.

**3.** And Khárak walked among his subjects, robed in fabrics he did not own, crowned with the silence of those he had slain.

**4.** And when asked, “Why do you consume?”

**5.** He answered; “To prove that nothing holds. That all will, given time, become but Dust and Blood.”

**6.** And Khárak then sat upon the Throne of Stillbirths, which is no throne but a wound in the fabric of all things that were. His voice was law to the crawling pantheon that remained, not gods, but echoes, chained by violence and dread.

**7.** And Khárak, for the second time, did enjoy himself greatly.

**1.** Let none worship, for Khárak's only altar is blood.

**5.** Only Khárak watches, and even he wonders: “Why?”

**6.** And there is no answer.

**7.** And that is the answer.
