On 8 September 2002, [[[SCP-5243 | all heaven and hell breaks loose at Site-43]]]. The world's largest anomalous waste processing plant goes critical, and the fabric of time and space is forever bent backward around it. There will never be another 6:21 PM to 6:27 PM on 8 September at Site-43 again. They'll be reliving those six minutes annually for decades to come. That's the long-term issue; in the short term, there's the small matter of the eight dead people and the severe structural damage and the psychological trauma and, oh yeah, the question of why it happened in the first place.

Hopefully they'll have it sorted out before they need to start saving the world.
