Would it not have been so— My penumbral pall, light once Bright, cloudy in stormy Darkness. Once met, once shared tender Thought, flesh and blood; and at once so brilliant, Shining, resplendent and Spring, Thunder ever nearer but not Today. Of a cast off stranger, Born of war, raised of the Flesh Lost, a world moved beyond, Such and sensibility left to detritus: rubbish. But shadow cast not in Moon-bright day, A kindness such not seen since long-ago. Land left, life Gone and Forgotten: A flesh divided. But did she not stitch you up? Wounds long hidden in those dark coffers, Legacy begotten and so forgotten; She your hope, and you her light. Skin blood and tears, the communion of self’s— United together, sharing, growing Distorting, Mutating, Perverting. Eyes once seeing only great light, Lost forever in darkness; A master made into a god, Begotten of flesh and my blood. Not desire but destruction to see a new dawn flee. Those bright hateful eyes In which all else I may never see, In which all else I may never forget. As moons fall and suns rise Which each new flesh I heave, Never will those moon pale Eyes share with thee. Once made of skin and love, Now rot and blood wrought By tender hand once held. When day comes, no more will the moon's light shine.
