I hope you're having a good day celebrating today's festivities. I wanted to inform you that one of our agents in Little Havana has captured an item of interest from an exhibition at a gallery of local artists. Apparently one of those 'Are We Cool Yet?' punks. She thought it would be fun to create a statue that kills indiscriminately.

We still do not know the exact details of its operation; we have not yet located the artist who created it, but she gave an interview to a local newspaper the day after the event and she is missing. Little Havana isn't very big, and it's only a matter of time before she tries to escape to Florida (which I doubt is in character for her) or they track her down in the city.

I have attached a copy of the interview in the newspaper.

Although only God knows if Socarras herself expected what came next when her statue, //"Hatuey, the First American Rebel"// began to tear the spectators limb from limb with unparalleled ferocity.

I managed to meet Socarras a few hours after the incident, outside her apartment in the residential district. She seemed to be in a hurry, but I got her to talk to me using my favorite force tactics. When I asked her about the meaning of his new piece, she told me that it had been a mistake and that he had to leave before the UIU tried to locate her.

Naturally, I'm a gentleman, so I let her go after asking her one last question: -- What was the point of the piece? --, to which she responded by abruptly pushing me out of her way and taking some bags out of her apartment.

**EXPLICATION:** The Case is a statue of the Taíno Indian chief Hatuey. It is approximately 1.5 meters tall and made of bronze. It possesses powerful necromantic energy and currently houses the spirit of an unknown individual. The Case is hostile to any humanoid it observes using its eyes. It is safe to be behind him or out of his field of vision.

Its motives are unknown, although it is believed that the original intentions of the Case during its creation were to demonstrate the cruelty of the oppressors during the colonial era. In a sense, it's ironic that the Case is hostile to all human life it observes, especially considering its creator was a member of the Cuban Communist Party until she moved to Little Havana. Her current allegiance is unknown.

Hatuey is a hero to the Cuban people, and watching him senselessly kill innocents is heartbreaking.

**DETAIL:** It is believed that the soul within the statue is not that of Hatuey, as the anartist who created the Case is familiar with its history and its presentation to the Little Havana Gallery involved a description of the piece that acts as a tribute to their suffering at the hands of the Spanish. By the way, the original artist, Alicia Socarras, confirmed that she made a mistake when trying to place the correct soul inside. However, she didn't expect it to go crazy and attack everyone in sight. It's a good thing we showed up when we did.

I believe that if we can properly apply necromancy to the Case and instill the right soul in it with the help of Alicia, we may have a powerful ally on our hands.
