Sneaks into the kitchen. No sign. She retrieves a knife, drawing it from the block. You notice another is already missing. She turns around. It's there. Waiting. She charges, knife held with both hands. She swings from the right. It dodges. It responds by lunging its own knife forward, but she dodges too — its knife ends up embodied in the drywall. You feel it: hope. Focused on extracting its knife from the wall, its monolithic, overall-covered form faces away from the girl. She sees the opportunity and takes it, rushing forward. It's a ruse. The entity turns around and sidesteps, grabbing her knife as it does, swinging the girl into the wall. She falls to the floor. It raises the weapon. You dig your nails into your palms and scream with frustration. The girl screams too. The tape cuts to black. You scream till your throat is hoarse in a futile effort to expel your frustration and sorrow.
