We die in the dark so you may live in the light,
The losses are just another step. 
Sometimes I question if this is the righteous fight,
Or is immorality another thing that must accept?

Except I don't think I'd be able to,
If it wasn't on my head.
I wish there was something I could do,
To help those who wound up dead. 

For the safety of humanity, 
Secure, Contain, Protect.
But for all the unnecessary casualties,
Is there nothing I can reject?

The betterment of humanity comes last,
If there truly is any.
The forgotten ones from a tragedy long past,
So will they ever treat us fairly?

Is there truly any difference,
Between them and us.
Are we people or a mere hindrance?
I'd better form a plan then.

To show those above what power we hold.
The monster and madness,
Shut behind a keyhole.
The depression and the sadness,
Soon the truth must be told.
