As excited as I was to learn that the Memeloaded mod team's project received greenlights from the G(OC)-man, it's still a deeply buggy mess. Sometimes, upon loading a new save, your empire will be the only one in the entire galaxy. No shattered imperiums, no deep space tradehubs, but space fauna and such seem to remain intact. Now the game still runs, but I have lost starbases on the periphery of my empire for absolutely no reason. They just disappear and become impossible to retake for whatever reason. What the fuck.

In defence of Parabox, UE5 development may have started a while before the Veil fell, even though we'll never be quite sure how far along it was since the dev diaries only begun a year after. Regardless, it still feels a bit shitty to know that the base game is not the fully fledged product it could have been. And no, the Mystic Stories hotfix/patch does not address this problem enough.

Parabox DLC policy be damned, I will still be purchasing the Veil DLCs when they're finally released, but by god the lack of any 5th Occult War representation is really souring the experience for me right now.

As you may or may not know, any prospective builder of communism must be the first state to research socialism AND must have their capital located in Europe in order for Karl Marx to actually appear. But in S&S3 Druv'tuul is located underneath South America due to Parabox laziness, and its entrance to the surface world is randomly generated between game to game. This sounds bad, but is actually crucial to obtaining Marx as an agitator. Follow the Great Work journal entry until you reach the branch that opens Druv'tuul to the outside world, and send expeditions to the surface.

If you pop up in the Amazon, reload the save.
If you pop up near the Caribbean or the Pacific, reload the save.
If you pop up in any state bordering the south Atlantic, stay the course. Ideally, Uruguay or Argentina, but south Brazil or even Paraguay will work in a pinch.

The geographical position of Druv'tuul is of great importance, not because it will give us access to Marx, but to another revolutionary agitator: Giuseppe Garibaldi.

If you keep good time and get to the surface before Garibaldi's event chain is over (approximately before 1848), you'll be able to catch him before he returns to Italy. Since Parabox did not account for the Yeren reaching the surface this early, you will receive the default event chain for South American nations. Always choose decisions that increase activism and acceptance value for any human culture. Eventually, you will be able to establish a territory on the surface.

Rush the necessary laws to permit migration and cultural acceptance and let the humans move in (but only into the surface territory; do not attempt to do this for Druv'tuul itself unless you want reactionaries to blow up your city.) Garibaldi will eventually leave for Italy as soon as the revolutions occur in Europe. This is fine. In fact, we want this to occur as soon as possible. This is because after Garibaldi leaves, we will receive an event where we can invite a foreign agitator to visit the territory, FOR FREE. Now, assuming you rushed socialism and have completed the Great Work journal entry by now, and the King is still in power, there will be an option to invite the man himself: Karl Marx. (The exact details of why Marx is an option despite the territory being in South America are not fully clear to me, but technically the game does not recognize Druv'tuul and her vassals to be on //any// continent so. Stack overflow?)

Once Karl Marx is present in the territory, begin moving the populace towards acceptance of communism by following the usual guides, yadda yadda yadda, and once the dust settles you can kick back and enjoy your fully-automated luxury underground Yeren communism.
