> module Rate /> **Item #:** SCP-560-FR **Threat Level:** Red ##red|●## **Object Class:** PagnumfootnoteThe object's containment is made possible by its own anomaly but requires the use of significant resources by the Foundation to be maintained./footnote **Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-560-FR is currently maintained in an approximately one thousand kilometer (1000 km) zone off the coast of Zone-Mem, within the Atlantic Ocean. The anomaly's continued containment necessitates the active maintenance of the RUDRA towers (see Addendum 560-FR-A) and, therefore, the recovery of SCP-560-FR-Æ instances. A recovery team aboard the SLBM //Sweet Dreamer// is to be dispatched to the containment zone after each onset of SCP-560-FR's active phase, regardless of whether or not it was triggered voluntarily. The cadaveric remains of the entity dumped during its active phase are to be recovered and incinerated with the exception of any SCP-560-FR-Æ instances. The crew must also ensure the functionality of the RUDRA towers and guarantee their structural integrity. Zone-Mem personnel in charge of SCP-560-FR are also responsible for falsifying the containment zone's meteorological reports as well as deviating maritime routes using this zone. In case of a major climate event that would undermine SCP-560-FR's containment, Dr. Sagel can authorize the activation of the Mṛgavyādha Protocol. Once the risk of a containment breach passes, the obtainment of SCP-560-FR-Æ instances by all available methods is placed under Priority Charlie, authorizing accredited MTFs to search the domiciles of known clients of GoI-0012 "Marshall, Carter, & Dark". **Description:** SCP-560-FR is a cumulus cloud, ordinarily situated at an altitude between 950 and 1,650 meters. The anomaly has properties that make it similar to a //cumulonimbus capillatus//, particularly with regard to its vertical extension and its atmospheric instability, prompting it to explode into a supercell storm. SCP-560-FR is of minimal size for a cloud in this category, only rarely exceeding six kilometers (6 km) in height and seven hundred and fifty meters (750 m) in width. Its density, on the other hand, is anomalously elevated, as revealed by sending a weather balloon into the interior of the anomaly. Additional studies have revealed that SCP-560-FR's mass likely exceeds ███████████ tons, ██ times more than a normal cloud of similar size. SCP-560-FR's principal anomaly manifests when the atmospheric conditions around the anomaly favor precipitation starting in the form of a shower. This phenomenon is considered the anomaly's active phase. Instead of discharging hydrometeors like an ordinary cumulonimbus would, SCP-560-FR forms a mammatus cloud considered colossal in proportion to its size, as well as a protruding top similar to a tube rather than a dome, and discharges a continuous rain of dried pieces of cadavers of various sizes, identifiable as belonging to albino //Elephas maximus// (Asian elephants). The pieces are all unusually large for animals of this species, the most extreme example being a 12-meter (12m) tall skull. Osteological and DNAfootnoteDNA analysis performed on the samples revealed [DATA REDACTED] similar to that found on other SCP objects of this type./footnote comparisons confirmed that all the cadavers belong to the same creature. Apart from their size and total absence of bodily fluid, the pieces don't exhibit any notable anomalies, with the exception of recovered tusks from certain skulls (see Addendum 560-FR-A). The area below SCP-560-FR frequently records plaintive trumpets of more than one hundred and eighty decibels (180 dB) from the anomaly. **Addendum 560-FR-A:** //Details on the Containment Protocol and the RUDRA towers// div style="background: #fff; padding: 1em; border: solid 1px black; margin: 0.5em; color: black; border-radius: 0.5em;" Before explaining the nature of SCP-560-FR-Æ and its function, I would like to make something clear... Considering how long I've been repeating that it's irresponsible for High Command to be lax with minor anomalies, I dare hope that SCP-560-FR will serve as a reference for future cases. Many anomalous objects made from SCP-560-FR-Æ were already in the Foundation's possession, and have been for several decades. They were primarily in the form of wind and percussion instruments. Their origin had already been more or less established by our research teams, but the fact that the Foundation has very little leeway in India, coupled with the inherit containment difficulties in anomalies of this type and the fact that it seemed to isolate itself far from civilian population centers, meant that file never became a priority. And now, it's a major problem. > - Doctor Sébastien Sagal, Senior Researcher of the Department of Mythology and Folklore /> /div __SCP-560-FR-Æ: Aerokenetic Ivory__ SCP-560-FR-Æ refers to ivory harvested from the cadavers rejected by SCP-560-FR. It is chemically similar to normal Asian elephant ivory, but exposing it to vibrations with a frequency higher than fifty hertz (50 Hz) causes changes in the atmospheric pressure surrounding the object, which produces more or less powerful air currents, depending on the surface area of the affected ivory. __SCP-560-FR Containment Device: RUDRA Towers__ The RUDRA Towers designate a set of seven devices developed by Site-Aleph's B9 Laboratory. They take the form of iron towers measuring eighty-five meters (85 m) in height and sixteen meters (16 m) in width at the base and together form a regular heptagon of five hundred meters (500 m) in width. Their interior surface represents SCP-560-FR's containment zone. These towers were developed to precisely control the vibrations subjected to the SCP-560-FR-Æ instances placed within them in order to manipulate their aerokinetic abilities. Each tower must constantly have at least twenty kilograms (20 kg) of raw material in order to ensure optimal function. The consumption of the instances during regular usage is around half a gram (0.5 g) per day, but the activation of the Mṛgavyādha Protocol can lead to an increase in consumption of up to 330%. The RUDRA Towers currently function autonomously, managed by an independent program based on the containment zone's weather data. However, it's possible for Level 4 Personnel or higher to override the program and change the towers' standard settings. **Addendum 560-FR-B:** //Intercepted Communications | R4PA37 - "The Walls Have Ears"// collapsible show="+ Open the report" hide="- Close the report" This set of text messages was intercepted by an Indian Foundation control tower in the state of Odisha, India. The detected exchanges have alerted the data indexing program R4PA37 "The Walls Have Ears", dedicated to the recognition of keywords related to known Groups of Interest within civil telecommunications, and were deemed relevant to understanding SCP-560-FR. And couldn't I have stayed with someone from the Pack instead? > **** We only have one family living on this side of India and it's the Dīng Shāo lineage. They don't like it when immortals are attacked. They wouldn't have let you do this hunt. > **** Seriously, what's their problem with that? What difference does it make if you kill the prey permanently or not? As long as the hunt is carried out, the rest isn't important. > **** That's the view of our side of the family. It's a question of culture, for most of the Asian lineage, a prey that gets back up doesn't quench the Thirst. > **** Even if that's the case, it would be absurd to give up this contract.
