Portrait of Jacob Weston, an academic in his mid-twenties who has found himself in a precarious circumstance unrivaled by any other: trapped within an endless expanse of constricting passages and caliginous books packed tighter together than an introductory course on English morphology. But while he is isolated, he is far from alone; he is accompanied by Rosanne Walker, fellow student, female, with a penchant for reading between lines and thumbing through pages long forgotten by the mainstream.

At the present moment Jacob is preoccupied with determining how he materialized in this nightmarish realm. Her name is Haddaway, first name unimportant, age 59. A widow-turned-worker who pines for days long gone, who wishes to hark back to an era before everything went so astray. What she is looking for is a sign; a hope against hope that she will be hurt no more. And unfortunately for her, that sign may come, in an imperceptible form that whisks her away long after the daydream departs.

The year? 1993. At least, that's the year for now. Because what Mrs. Haddaway is about to witness is a mausoleum of madness, a place of shadow and dust, occupied by a raving lunatic with a warped perception of even the most fundamental axioms of reality. This is Mr. White, trapped in a museum long past closing time of the early morning of September 21st, 1978. It has been September 21st, 1978 for several years. He has been wandering these aching, dusting halls trying to find the answer to his predicament amongst the bones and diagrams, but a solution seems ever-elusive. Mr. White has no need to eat, to drink, to sleep; and, he largely suspects, he's begun to go mad from the isolation, the only companions he has being the crumbling statues of years long gone and the dusty mannequins lining the walls.

In just a moment, we will see Mr. White encounter something new: someone else who has found themselves trapped in this mausoleum of madness, much like him. But this will only leave him with more questions, as he begins to doubt the authenticity of facts he's long established. And those unfortunate enough to fall for this trap often find themselves at the mercy of the very people who claim to defend them.

A corpse is a type of shipwreck. Its former passengers, the cells and bacteria — now left to their own devices — blossom outwards. And as they spread, the body decays. Soon there is nothing left of the former host besides bones, memories, and microscopic refugees.

If a corpse is a shipwreck, then a person is a ship, carrying a tight crew: neuronic command centers and hemoglobin goblins, gut bacteria prisoners and B-Cell soldiers, all working together towards one common goal, though their means may differ: stay alive. Each individual has its role to play in the vast, complex machinery. And through this mutual cooperation, a equilibrium of membrane and mitosis, they manage to keep themselves afloat for another day.

This ship, in particular, is the //SS Bog Chaser//. And between the flowing blood vessels and the winding lymph nodes, two individuals find love amidst a growing, ever-looming threat, one that seems to have infiltrated the very fabric of the ship's defense systems. Keep your eyes on the microscope, or whatever other AID you may have, for this is not regular check up. This... is the Boundryless Confines.

All that remains of the human race is the sodden earth, saturated with the fats of slaughtered animals and the blood of men. There is no point to the carnage, no reason for the madness. One may find that there never was one to begin with. 

By this point, our friend Adam has long since abandonded the thought of civilization. There is nothing left of the human race besides him — or so he believes. For while humanity's eyes may be shutting for the final time, Adam's gaze remains lifted to heaven, and the once dark future  will soon have a light at the end of the tunnel. And although the blind may lead the blind, and eye for an eye will only lead to eternal darkness... the ever-growing, all-encompassing, totally-consuming darkness... of the Boundryless Confines.
