Our researchers do a wonderful job in bringing to life the text on a screen, but that can never replace the illuminating aspect visual work can provide. __Entry Criteria__

* All works submitted must fall in line with the site license, [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ CC BY-SA 3.0]. If you are not familiar with the license, please view the hyperlink. There will be no exceptions made for this rule.

* Most varieties of visual art will be accepted as submissions. This includes painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpting[[footnote]] A picture of the sculpture will suffice; I do not want to receive a statue in the mail. [[/footnote]], photography, and similar artwork.

* AI-generated art will not be allowed for this contest. Likewise, we will not be allowing videos for this contest. GIFs and short video formats are acceptable, but nothing long-form. Video games will likewise not be allowed. If you are hesitant about what qualifies, consult a contest marshal. Entries must be safe for work so that they can be displayed on the hub pages.

* Entries must be created by YOU. You may not enter any artwork on the behalf of someone else unless it was made in collaboration with that person. As such, art collaborations are allowed.


__Entry Submission__

* Only one entry per user for any given category will be allowed. You may participate in multiple categories. If your work could be slotted into multiple categories, then you must choose one category to enter it into.

* For each entry, we will need the __artist's name__[[footnote]] We do not want your real name here, we are looking for the name you wish to go by on the internet. [[/footnote]], the __category__ they wish to enter, and the __title__ they wish to give their work.

* To submit your work, send an email to scpfoundationwikicoteam@gmail.com. The format is as follows:

* Please attach your artwork as a file attachment in your email. Name it in the following format

* After submitting your work, you may also post it on your social media page using the hashtag [[span style="color:rgb(var(--link-color));"]]**#SCPVisualArchives**[[/span]]. The SCP Wiki's official social media accounts will be sharing and reposting art posted under this tag.

+++ Rules:

* Be kind to others. Unsporting conduct will not be tolerated and can lead to disqualification of your own entry.

* During this contest, batches of images will be posted to our social media pages. These selections will not be made by the judges and may or may not correspond with their opinions. All artists will be fully credited in these posts. If you do not wish for your work to be posted in this manner, please add a disclaimer when submitting your work to us.

* Winners will be determined by a panel of judges. After the Submission phase is complete, judges will go through and filter out low-effort works. The remaining pool of works will be presented on their respective category pages. Judges will be allowed to compete, but will not be allowed to review any categories that contain their own work. The judges panel includes lead judge [[*user syuzhet]] along with the remaining judges of [[*user emotionalentropy]], [[*user luxaiko]], [[*user oritiefling]], [[*user Pedagon]], [[*user ratking666]], [[*user sugarush]], and [[*user UncertaintyCrossing]].

* Any contestant who takes unusual and/or negative actions to increase their vote total, or decrease that of their competitors, will be disqualified for the involved contest and potentially banned from further contests with the possibility of further disciplinary action being taken depending upon the act in question.

* The contest marshals for this contest are [[*user Naepic]] and [[*user WhiteGuard]]. As stated above, if you have questions concerning the contest, feel free to reach out to them or another [[[http://05command.wikidot.com/community-outreach-main|Community Outreach team member]]]. The contest marshals will have the ability to disqualify entries for violations of the above-listed rules, egregiously poor sportsmanship not otherwise enumerated, or failure to fit the theme. All decisions are appealable to the contest marshals.
